STARTUP & FIRST TAP FILE

If any of these problems persist then contact customer support for further assistance.

How come my Tap file is not displaying?

  • Double check that you used the correct Post Processor. Make sure you saved the TAP CNC file and not the CRV Vectric project file.
  • If you are using a thumb drive that is larger than 8GB and have more than a dozen files in the base folder, try creating a sub directory for some of the files or delete some files. The pendant has directory problems with larger drives.

My bit is vibrating or chattering when running, what is causing that?

  • Anytime that the bit is unable to clear the wood before it is moved forward you will get chatter. Try speeding up the RPM on the router, Change the tool definition to slow down the Inches per Minute of travel speed 10-20 percent, decrease the stepover or decrease the depth of the cut. Sometimes changing the direction of the cut in the toolpath will also help, Try changing the setting from climb to conventional.

My project is doing weird stuff, only cuts squares or has odd geometry, or has a fixed Z axis number.

  • Try under the APPS menu on the pendant by doing a Factory Restore. This clears the temporary memory and can fix odd stuff that has cropped up in the past.

Why does my pendant says it cannot connect to the controller?

  • Do a forced recalibration of the pendant. Hold your finger on the center of the touchscreen while you turn it on. Follow the prompts and touch the circle in all 4 corners. If that fails and you have no front lights on the controller then do a Bare Box Reset and contact customer support. If the lights are on try doing the LCD firmware update.

My pendant has no text, there are boxes only on the display?

  • Use the same solution as when the pendant cannot see the controller.
